The Suzuki Festungstrail starts at the Kapitelplatz, the heart of Salzburgs' old-town. After the starting round through the Kaiviertel the participants run through the festival district and then steeply uphill: two laps around the Mönchs- und Nonnberg with great views, paving stones and extremly narrow streets require the highest concentration.
After two laps follows a steep increase up to the Festungsberg. The route at the Fortress Hohensalzburg with it´s spiral stairs is unique in the world and the finish in the courtyard is definitely worth all the efforts.

Charity
Per registration to Festungstrail (incl. Trail Amadeus and Trailmarathon) Suzuki Austria is donating € 5,00 to the association WALK’N’ROLL. This association was founded by the Salzburg paralympics athlete Thomas Geierspichler and helps physically disabled people with visions to implement them sustainably.
