Both the Panorama Trail and the Fortress Trail start at Hellbrunn Palace and lead runners across Hellbrunn Hill, where the historic Stone Theatre provides one of the course's first highlights. From the palace grounds, the route follows the iconic Hellbrunn Avenue towards Nonntal.

Participants in the Panorama Trail head directly from Nonnberggasse up to the fortress, while Fortress Trail runners enjoy an extended route featuring breathtaking 360° panoramic views from both Hohensalzburg Fortress and Mönchsberg. The course then takes athletes through the heart of Salzburg's UNESCO-listed Old Town, passing the Festival District, Cathedral Square (Domplatz) and Kapitelplatz, before the final kilometre climbs to the spectacular finish inside Hohensalzburg Fortress.

For the first time, the award ceremony for both races will also take place inside Hohensalzburg Fortress—a truly majestic setting and hard to imagine a more fitting venue to celebrate the winners.
