The Salomon Gaisbergtrail starts at the Kapitelplatz, the heart of Salzburgs' old-town. Starting there, the track leads over the Kapuzinerberg (Basteiweg along the city wall, 1.718 steps!) up to the top of the Gaisberg. From there is goes over beautiful trails back to the city and along the Salzach to finish at the Kapitelplatz. One of the hardest half marathons with a breathtaking scenery is waiting for you - a trail competition for adventurer!
For all those runners, who do the Gaisbergtrail as a single discipline, the start takes place at 09:45 AM at the Kapitelplatz. The starting shot will be given 15 minutes after the start of the first lady and the first man from the pursuit race.
A shuttle brings personal clothing and/or food from the start up to the top of the Gaisberg, which can be taken at the refreshment station. Everything will also be brought back to the Kapitelplatz after the race.
Please note the regulations (see race rules) regarding mandatory and recommended equipment or regarding the usage of poles!
